Richey Lakes is a 2020 3B/MIF, OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Olympia. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.82 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with a wide base, takes longer strides moving to the ball, works behind the ball nicely, low effort and clean arm stroke on throws across, can drop slot with comfort and intent, accurate to the bag with arm strength that will continue to develop. comes through the ball well, taller at release, full and on line arm stroke, fields the ball to the side, shows accuracy on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; upper body dominant swing with balance throughout. Short timing trigger moving into contact, linear path through the zone and shows comfort working to either gap with extension out front. Projects with added physical strength. Excellent student.
