Matt Santamauro is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day HS. Large frame, long and slender build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher that throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Has long arm action and showed solid arm quickness through extension. Works from a high energy delivery with a high leg lift. Will occasionally throw across his body generating movement on his fastball. Has potential to see more velocity from his fastball as he continues to incorporate the lower half on a consistent basis. Curveball has 11/5 shape that flashed signs of solid break. Changeup was his best secondary pitch at this time showing good depth, had feel for it. Good student.
