Jacob Williams is a 2019 1B/UT with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Lynchburg, VA who attends Liberty Christian Academy. Recorded a 7.19 second 60-yard dash time. Extremely strong and physical frame with surprising athleticism for size as well. Primary first baseman who moves well over at the corner. Full arm path with good feel for defense and soft hands as well. Secondary outfielder with a long arm action and a big crow hop into throws. Good carry on throws and fields the ball cleanly to the side with sure steps to the baseball. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and a spread open stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and good bat speed. Compact, short stroke who has enough strength through impact to drive the ball well to all fields. Quick trigger into swing and has loud offensive tools. Timing dependent swing but enough strength to be an impact bat. Named to the 2017 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
