Nathaniel LaRue is a 2019 C/RHP/OF with a 6-3 203 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Mcgill-Toolen Catholic HS. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, short and compact swing with a fluid load and swing, showed the ability to turn the barrel but used the entire field well, strength is obvious in his swing and the ball comes off the barrel hard when he's on time, has some whip and lift out front when pulling, very consistent, has lots of hitting tools. Very good runner for his size, 6.76 in the sixty. Good flexibility behind the plate, comes out of his crouch well with good transfers, makes accurate throws. Also has the athleticism to play well in the outfield and showed big arm strength. Has been up to 90 mph off the mound this summer. Solid all around athlete who should continue to improve. Good student, verbal commitment to Auburn.
