Hayden Williams is a 2018 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Conroe, TX who attends The Woodlands High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.05 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed a long arm action, over the top arm slot, fielded out front, and showed a compact release. Showed impressive arm strength up to 85 mph to the bases. At the plate, tall stance, open base, high hand set, and used a leg lift timing mechanism. Line drive swing plane with a clean hand path. Used a middle of the field approach that worked primarily through upper half. Consistent approach that will translate well with additional strength. Also pitched, side step into delivery, pauses at balance point, longer, loose arm action, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Worked both sides of the plate and landed balanced with low effort. Worked primarily off 76-79 mph fastball with short arm side life with best command of pitch to arm side. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with moderate feel to spin and good depth at 68 mph. Will continue to add velocity with additional lower half drive to plate. Exceptional student.
