Cade Crosby is a 2020 2B/RHP/SS with a 6-0 179 lb. frame from Long Beach, MS who attends Long Beach HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Primary second baseman, does a nice job rounding the ball with footwork and working behind it, soft hands out front and funnels cleanly, works to an over-the-top release point and gets on top of throws well, shows accuracy to the bag and will continue to develop nicely. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing and gets closed moving into contact, limited weight shift moving through lower half. Stays short to the ball and direct with hands, keeps hands inside throughout swing. Shows comfort working to his pull side, best contact when working on a linear plane and handles the barrel well through the zone. Very good student.
