Davis Meche is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Lake Charles, LA who attends Alfred M. Barbe. Compact and athletic frame. Ran a 7.02 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic actions all around, fields the baseball out in front, soft hands and a quick transfer, rounds the baseball well and flashed high level infield tools during his clean round, good arm strength topping out at 88 mph across the diamond. Switch hitter who only took batting practice from the left side, spread open stance hits the baseball out and front and the ball comes the barrel well, some quickness to hands while pulling off some, present bat speed and lift, torques the lower half and creates leverage out in front, middle to pull side contact mostly during round.
