Ko Powell is a 2016 SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Pinson, AL who attends Oneonta HS. Solid, athletic build with present strength and room to add more muscle, strength to frame. Good athlete, shows solid straight-line speed, ran a 6.76 60-yard dash. Right handed hitter, straight stance setup with quiet lower half, limited stride, weight shift. Has strength, solid bat speed, creates leverage in swing, shows ability to impact baseball. Solid line drive contact with some jump to the middle of the field and gaps. Moves well in the infield, shows solid instincts and reads balls well off the bat. Soft hands with easy transfer, release, works to lower arm slot, accurate throws with some tailing action. Very good student.
