Brody Gibson is a 2017 C/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Claremore, OK who attends Metro Christian Academy. Young body with a medium to large build, still room to put more muscle on as he grows physically. Defensively, displayed a fluid arm behind the plate with good carry on his throws down to second. Quick feet that kept runners in check on the bases. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright stance. Short and quick to the baseball, has good leverage and raw power. Showed quick bat speed and was able to generate lift on low pitches. In games, made hard pull side contact with multiple line drive hits, including a home run to left field. Also pitched, threw from a 3/4 arm slot. Attacked hitters pounding the zone with a good 3 pitch mix. Fastball got up to 85 MPH. Projects well with good tools and size. Named to Top Prospect List.
