Dawson Jones is a 2024 LHP/ with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope. Smaller, athletic build with remaining room to fill. Starts from the stretch with a quick tempo. Quick, whippy arm creating natural deception, throwing across his body while coming from a higher arm slot. Fastball ranged 77-80 while topping at out at 80 while also showing feel for multiple secondary pitches. Fills the strike zone up and has good command of all three pitches. Could use his lower half more to drive down the mound. The addition of strength and cleaning up a few mechanical components of delivery would benefit for the future. Excellent student.
