Alexander (AJ) Kostic is a 2020 SS/RHP/UT with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Waddell, AZ who attends Northwest Christian. Nice athletic build with some present strength and lots of physical projectability. Right handed hitter, shifts well into contact from a high leg lift trigger, gets his foot down on time, loose swing with good extension out front, has present bat speed with more to come, works the middle of the field but can develop some pull power in the future. Versatile defensive player, shows his athleticism well at all positions, profiles at third base best in the future as he continues to fill out. Also pitched, long and loose arm stroke, whippy coming through. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, can get it to both sides of the plate well, has good arm side running life. Change up has nice fading action from a somewhat lower slot, has confidence in his change and uses it often, rare slurve type curveball, threw lots of strikes. Named to the National Underclass West Top Prospect List.
