Ethan Rucker is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pace Academy. Ran a 7.58 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with tall skinny frame showing plenty of room to fill out in the limbs moving forward. Starts with a short side step into a controlled belt high leg lift before breaking the hands cleanly at the belt and hind the ball well through the back up to a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed good late life at 82-86 mph and was paired well with a tight breaking curveball at 71 mph for a solid two pitch mix. The body and arm speed both project well moving forward on the mound. Receives the ball with soft hands working through it well with relative comfort before making stronger throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a low hand set and narrow base with a slightly open stance. Hanging leg lift gets him back to even with an athletic swing showing looseness in the hands with good direction and extension at the point of contact showing a middle of the field approach. Good student. Named to the 2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
