JJ Darst is a 2025 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Mason, OH who attends William Mason. Strong, barrel chested frame with present strength in both halves of the body. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, right knee down stance, quick transfer, developing body control out of the crouch, lost head on throws at times, accurate to the bag, longer arm action, solid reps on every attempt, things to project out from this look behind the dish, up to 79-mph and 1.98 best pop time. Secondary third baseman, clean hands out front, quick funnel and transfer, compact slot, above average arm strength, throws carry nicely from the hole, covers ground nicely to both sides, made all the plays with accuracy to the bag. Right-handed hitter, slightly open stance with low hands, creates fluid separation with good bat speed, loose and functional parts, backside power, high effort swings, flashed it with wood nicely, impacts it well, swing projects and should perform in game. Projectable athlete with some defensive versatility and a strong right-handed swing. Great student. Named to the 2024 Great Lakes Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
