LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2014 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Jonathan Rivera is a 2014 C with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Carolina, PR. Older prospect, medium build with some physical strength and maturity. Outstanding raw arm strength behind the plate, 83 mph in drills with a 1.88 pop time, 6.93 runner, has athleticism behind the plate in games, shows side to side agility and is a willing blocker. Right handed hitter, leg raise trigger, simple rotational swing, short contact oriented approach, hits to all fields but best contact pulling the ball. Defense ahead of his offense at this point. Would be interesting to see off the mound due to his arm strength.
