Christian Delgado is a 2016 LHP with a 5-11 147 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium build, plenty of room to get stronger. Simple leg lift delivery, loose and easy arm action, ball comes out of his hand well, will under rotate at times and leave the ball up arm side but mostly pounded the strike zone, sound delivery to build from. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets good sink and run down in the zone. Change up showed same type of quality fade and running action. Curveball looks like a knuckle curveball grip. flashes tight spin and hard bite at times. Has the pitches to mix and be successful but threw so many early count strikes he often didn't have the chance. Projects in all areas. Good student.
