Thomas McGee is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Mount Pisgah Christian HS. Medium frame with strong, physical present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, toe tap trigger with deep hand load, shows quick hands to and through zone on line drive swing plane with good leverage at contact. Uncoils front hip with authority and torque, brings lower half well into swing, shows excellent strength in swing with ability to drive the ball deep. Worked out defensively in the outfield, takes quick steps to the ball and lines it up well, very quick transfers into quick releases, throws from lower slot with outfield velocity clocked up to 75 MPH. Pitched as well, exclusively from the stretch, throws from extended low three quarters arm slot with some crossfire due to closed landing, fastball worked 67-70 MPH with good sinking life. Showed slider with sweeping shape and good deception out of hand, filled up the zone and attacked with both pitches. Good student.
