Timothy Ewald is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from St. Peters, MO who attends Francis Howell Central HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength throughout. Has nice direction in his delivery, 3/4's arm slot and will get down to mid-3/4's at times, good extension out front on release, medium effort. Low 80's fastball, added velocity through his outing and touched 85 mph late, can manipulate fastball grips and get 2-seam action or cutting action at times. Showed the ability to spin a curveball with big sweeping depth and good lateness, will slow body some on the pitch occasionally. Threw some sliders later that had tight spin and nice bite as well. Has a nice feel for movement and has multiple ways to attack hitters. Delivery consistency will be key.
