Michael Draskin is a 2019 C/1B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Huntington, NY who attends Half Hollow Hills West. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low set behind the plate to start, receives the ball out front, shows a sound and quick transfer, gains ground comes out of crouch with lower half, around the bag with throws, has quickness to arm and strength/carry will continue to develop on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright and event stance with a high hand set at the plate. Simple leg lift trigger for timing, shows a loose path through the zone with some feel for the barrel at point of contact. Can work all fields, upper body dominant swing and keeps hands in, able to generate occasional lift out front. Very good student.
