Louis Baker is a 2015 C/IF with a 6-1 197 lb. frame from Queensland, AUS who attends Somerset College. Very nice athletic build with plus present strength. Right handed hitter, swings hard but has good balance at contact, very good present bat speed, uppercut swing plane, looking to pull and lift, loose out front, big power potential but swing plane can improve for more consistent square contact, has all the hitting tools to keep improving. New to catching, good athletic quickness behind the plate, tends to stand up early throwing to second but very fast on pickoffs, picked numerous players off first base, still young and learning how to receive the ball softly, former middle infielder who has the tools to play third base as well. Came all the way from Australia to compete, goal is to go to college and play in the States. Has the tools and desire to do it.
