Jacob Malatek is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends New Braunfels. Big strong build with a large projectable frame. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a balanced online delivery throwing with minimal effort. High smooth leg kick delivery is aggressive with his fastball with a very deliberate pace, and has 1-7 breaking action on his curveball. Square stance at the plate with strength in his swing, and has good rhythm at the plate. Displayed bat speed, with a line drive plane and the ball jumps off his bat when he barrels it up. Is an excellent student.
