Matthew Cronin is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Navarre, FL who attends Navarre HS. Medium build with good present strength and more to come. High leg raise delivery, gets good lower half use in his mechanics, has some energy at release, high 3/4's arm slot, very consistent release with fastball and curveball, has some deception and hitters struggled catching up to his fastball. Fastball sat in the upper 80's, spotted to ball side to side very well, big downhill angle, mostly straight when elevated. Hard curveball with tight power spin and biting action, serious eye level changer. Did not see a change up but has two present quality pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas.
