Christopher Monasmith is a 2014 C/2B with a 5-9 163 lb. frame from Pacific, MO who is Home Schooled. Athletic, medium build, has some room to get stronger with maturity. Good looking receiver behind the plate, hands are soft. Looks very comfortable defensively, blocks well, gets rid of the ball quickly, arm strength is still developing. Throws are accurate and very consistent. Right-handed hitter, high hands in his setup, hits from a sturdy base. Stays back well, load is a bit late, flashes quality bat speed, upper cut swing path, free swinging approach. Very good student.
