William Chapman is a 6' 175 pound 2007 outfielder and right handed pitcher from Los Angeles, California who attends Calabasas High School. He is a strong kid with a barrel chest and a strong face. He has an athletic build and has room for added muscle. William has a very strong arm in the outfield which he displayed during the workout by hitting 88mph on the radar gun. He has good carry on his throws and very good accuracy as well. He takes good routes to the ball and with his speed should be able to track down most fly balls. Chapman has good present strength at the plate and generates good bat speed throught he hitting zone. He swings very hard and aggressively and he gets better every time we see him. On the mound, William throws from a 3/4 arm slot with some effort in his delivery. He has good pure arm strength and good command on all three of his pitches. He has a compact arm action and uses a quick tempo on th mound. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with his curveball at 61-64 mph and his changeup at 66-74 mph. Chapman is an aggressive player who runs hard at all times on the field and has high energy with good awareness of his surroundings. He tends to make friends easy and looks to be a leader on and off the field. William is an excellent student as well with a 3.6 gpa.
