Carter Smith is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Fort Myers HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, straight stance, contact oriented approach, keeps his swing path short and direct, hits to all fields with best contact to the middle and opposite field, projectable hitting tools with additional strength. Good arm strength behind the plate, release and stride can be shortened, moves well blocking and shifting, 7.52 runner, can also play the outfield. Getting physically stronger will be the key. Good student. Named to the Showcase All Prospect Team.
