James Kirklin III is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends North Cobb HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulder and present strength throughout, full of fast-twitch muscle. Outstanding runner, posted a 6.56 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short and quick steps to the ball, speed and tools play nicely in centerfield, compact arm circle in the back leads to quick release, over the top slop and gets on top of throws, shows accuracy and carry to intended base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Uses a small leg lift trigger for timing, line drive swing plane and shows quick hands to generate bat speed. Busy load but stays on time, works the middle to pull side parts of the field with loud contact coming off the barrel, does a nice job of hitting the ball out front. Very good student. Named to World Showcase Top Prospect List.
