Andrew Cabezas is a 2015 RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Miami Gardens, FL who attends Coral Gables HS. Medium athletic build, good strength in his lower half. Long extended arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, fast arm coming through with good extension out front, a bit cross body on release but able to get the ball glove side consistently. Fastball topped out at 91 mph from the wind up, tended to lose velocity from the stretch, good life to his fastball and can spot both sides of the plate. Good slider with sharp late biting action, trusts his slider and spots it well. Flashed quality to his change up when maintaining his arm speed. Moves the ball around and has some polish to his approach. Verbal commitment to Miami.
