2013 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Ethan Landon is a 2013 RHP with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Lincoln HS. Very long and loose build, long arms, lots of room to fill out. Slow paced leg raise delivery, long and loose whippy arm action with early hand separation, shows ball in back, extended mid 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, big arm side running action at times, most effective when getting fastball to glove side though, throws fastball for strikes, primary fastball pitcher. Soft curveball spin, tends to get under curveball, will likely learn a slider immediately at the next level, rare change up still developing. Arm strength and looseness is impressive, as is fastball life and command, key will be developing secondary pitches. Good student, signed with Kansas State.
