Cordova is an interesting player who can contribute on both sides of the ball. He is a primary position pitcher and also plays first base. He is right handed and plays without his left arm from the elbow down. He was able to pitch, field and even bat using primarily his right arm. Not only was he capable but he showed pitchability on the hill and very good fielding ability at first base. If he shows more velocity on the mound he will make it hard for some good College programs to pass up. He threw a 75-78 mph fastball from a three quarters arm slot in a relatively easy motion. His curve was good at 64 mph and the change-up he threw came in at 68 mph with good life. He has a 5 foot 11, 170 pound frame and as he continues to grow we think he will gain some velocity. At the plate he showed extra strong wrist and forearm strength while swinging the bat with only his top hand and proved that he can hit the ball hard with a sharply hit line drive up the middle off live pitching. He hit a HR in his High School season with aluminum. Our scouts loved him, he is a very inspiring kid who deserves to be applauded.
