Sheldon Neuse is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Keller Fossil Ridge HS. Strong athletic build, room to get stronger. 6.96 runner, projects to third base professionally, can play high level college shortstop, good footwork going to his right, very good arm strength, less smooth going to his left. Right handed hitter, tall stance, still start, line drive swing with loose extension out front, strong hands, hard mid field contact, can improve flow and shift through contact. Two-way prospect, quick tempo delivery, short quick loose arm action, 3/4's arm slot. Consistent 90 mph fastball, topped at 91, good fastball life down in zone. Slider best pitch, short quick late break, has good feel for a change up, has very good pitchability for a secondary pitcher. Would be interesting to see raw stuff if he wasn't playing shortstop every day. Very good all around athlete. Good student.
