Reece Mielke is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-2, 175-lb. frame from Beaver Dam, WI, who attends Wayland Academy. He is a 7.14 runner in the sixty. On the mound, he works from a full windup with a lean, athletic build and quick overall movement down the slope. He has a whippy arm from a high three-quarter slot and the ability to work to both sides of the plate. The arm action and athleticism are promising. The fastball has some life, and he mixes in a full arsenal. His breaking ball has slider shape (10/4) with solid spin and projection as he continues to refine feel and finish. The changeup has plenty of potential as well, giving him a foundation for a complete mix. With refined timing, there is clear upside on the mound. In the outfield, he has a complete defensive skill set with athletic movements and strong fundamentals. He gets the ball out of his hand quickly with a snappy, explosive release, creating low, accurate throws with good carry. He moves well through the baseball with smooth glove actions and creates angles well. At the plate, he is a right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a handsy approach. He also has some present bat speed and can use all fields. Great student.
