Chace Kuhns is a 2028 OF/1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Sycamore, IL who attends Sycamore. A taller frame and lean build with projection throughout. He has an athletic frame that projects moving forward as he adds strength & physicality. Higher-set waist with room to fill. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who moves to it well, fielding the ball out in front and comes through the gather and throw well. Showed a longer and smoother release from a three-quarters arm action, yielding throws at 76 mph. He attacked the ball well and was able to show good accuracy on throws with developing arm strength. Also worked out at first base, fielding the ball up the middle with a shorter and compact release working into it. He had simple and good feeds to second base for the double-play look. He threw 75 mph across the diamond and was able to show clean actions during his round. A right-handed hitter with a spread base, high hands, and the back elbow up. He turned hard with some whip and extension through contact, being able to impact with some lift and bat speed that showed. He got good extension working to the middle of the field, driving the ball backside as well. Used an an exaggerated load with a hanging leg lift trigger to get on time. Showed some aggressiveness in the box with strength to impact it. Produced an 86 mph exit velocity during PG DK Testing. Excellent student.
