Anthony Valencia is a 2028 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-11 255 lb. frame from Carpentersville, IL who attends Dundee-Crown. A bigger frame and build with some strength. Ran a 9.21 60-yard dash. Primary corner infielder who worked out at first base, fielding the ball up the middle with shuffles into throws. He showed two hand picks with a shorter and compact arm action as he worked into release. Showed a feel around the bag and was able to produce accurate feeds to second base. Threw 64 mph across the diamond. A right-handed hitter with a wider and spread base with high hands and the back elbow up. Hands-driven swing with some feel to throw the barrel head into the zone. He was shorter and compact with his bath and was able to produce some good line drives. Worked to all fields during his round of BP swings. A right-handed pitcher who worked from the wind-up with a sidestep into a leg lift that was knee-to-belt as he worked down the slope. Used tall-and-fall mechanics with a three-quarters release and a shorter and compact arm action. Worked the low-60s on the fastball and mixed in a curveball with 12-6 depth to it. Great student.
