William Shughart is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Oklahoma City, OK who attends Bishop McGuinness. Lean and athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary RHP who throws from a mid 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 84 and was located well mainly East to West. Got late swings and misses off his fastball. Fastball tails in with late life and looks faster than expected. Slow and controlled delivery and repeats the motions well. Definitely more in the tank here. Mixed in a slider with more horizontal sweep to it and good young spin traits. Should continue to get better as he will need to get around it more consistently. Commanded the zone well in general. Also played outfield working through the ball well with intent. Fields it off to his side cleanly and was accurate with his throws to the bag with good strength behind them. Was up to 84 from the outfield. Also ran a 7.32 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a balanced and upright base and low elbow set. Small leg lift and stride forward into contact with still hands on the load. Stays short through the zone with a level swing path and could impact it to pull a good bit throughout his round of BP. Produced an EXV of 88. Excellent student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
