Miles Vais is a 2030 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-3 112 lb. frame from Charles City, IA who attends New Hampton. Compact young build, looks bigger than listed. 7.66 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, moves well to the ball and gets the glove down early, makes accurate throws with some carry for his age, solid overall fundamentals and tools to develop. Also worked out in the outfield, works aggressively to the ball, long and loose arm action, tends to throw uphill but had some young carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium base with a simple leg lift trigger, short and compact rotational swing, turns hard. Also pitched, throws from the stretch from a closed start, has a loose and extended arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 73 mph with occasional sink. Curveball flashed some 11/5 depth, also threw a fading change up. Threw strikes with all his pitches and showed feel for mixing. Named to the PG Spring Midwest Workout Showcase.Top Prospect List.
