2026 PG Sunshine Southwest Showcase (National Showcase Qualifier)
Jackson Vaughn is a 2028 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Cave Creek, AZ who attends Cactus Shadows. Tall and lanky young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Ran a 6.87 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, works from a semi-windup with drop-and-drive actions and a shorter arm stroke from a H 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 73-77 and showed some feel for the changeup at 69 and the slider at 68-69, while mixing in a curveball at 60-62. Consistent strike throwing is still developing, but flashed enough arm speed and feel to keep projecting. Primary outfielder on defense, showing proper technique with clean gathers and accurate one-hop throws. At the plate, hits from an even base with a quick trigger and shows a line-drive approach, with the swing working on an uphill path at times. Good student.
