Anthony Kavanaugh is a 2028 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-7 115 lb. frame from Topsham, ME who attends Mount Ararat. Slender, developing frame with plenty of room and time to physically mature. Recorded a 8.85 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from an extremely narrow stance with developing footwork out of the crouch and slightly elongated midline transfer. Delivered fairly accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 55 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Used a belt high leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-60s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 62 mph from a three-quarters slot. Strike thrower with developing command of the strike zone, mixed in developing breaking ball with gradual depth to it as go-to secondary offering. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Left-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a low-hand set and minimal weight transfer into impact. Whole field approach with developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel, best impact was to the middle-of-the field and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
