2007 South Top Prospect Showcase
Brian Flynn is a 2008 LHP with a 6'8'', 235 lb. frame from Owasso, OK who attends Owasso. Brian has a very large frame at 6' 8'' and has a thick upper body. He is a huge young man, and is a very good athlete for someone his size. His actions on the mound are fluid and smooth, and he looks the part. He has a good presence on the mound as well, and is certainly an imposing figure for batters to face. He throws from an over the top arm slot, and his fastball flashes consistent movement with a top velocity of 86 mph. His arm works, and he uses medium effort. His slider breaks 1-7 with depth and he throws it hard. He has good command and goes right after hitters, working both sides of the plate. He has a good attitude, and shows enthusiasm for the game. He is also a good team guy to have in the dugout. Brian projects to be a big time talent, and was named a top prospect for the showcase.
