2026 PG West Coast Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Xinping Chris Zhu is a 2027 2B/SS with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Shanghai, SH who attends University High School of Indiana. Features a smaller frame with some quality athleticism that showed during his overall workout. Ran a 7.12 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed strong actions/movements especially to his footwork that work light and quick to the baseball. Solid glovework showing sure hands that work well to both sides especially to the backhand where he picked a couple tough ones clean. Arm is still developing as it works short and pushy in the action getting off upper 60s throws across that points to more of a second base defensive profile. At the plate, operates in an open stance and shows simple movements to the hands and lower-half into launch. Some slight drift but overall pretty balanced. More of a short/direct type barrel path where he stayed through the gaps with decent LD contact showing some good feel for the barrel. Developing bat speed and strength in the offensive profile.
