Dean Hussey is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Glendale, AZ who attends Mountain Ridge. Features a medium sized build with some present strength to the lower/upper half. Ran a 7.22 60-yd dash. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch. Used a mid-chest tuck that gets into a smaller sit and early push off the rubber. Lands slightly closed into landing. Arm works longer out the glove and to a normal 3/4 slot with avg. armspeed. Worked the FB up to 78 that exhibted some natural running action. Mixed in a 1-7 breaker in the upper 60s that showed quality depth and produced a few chase whiffs during his outing. In the OF, showed fundamental actions. Avg. quickness in the approach bit gets low to the ground and fields it clean and out front. Arm showed looseness in working to an uphill release with accuracy and avg. strength. At the plate, operated from an even base and used a big hand load with a leg lift into launch. Path worked flatter into contact with quality bat speed and impact when he was on-time. Some early torso, change in eye level and pull off present. When on-time, found loud barrels through the middle of the field.
