Hayden Miles is a 2029 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-9, 160 lb. frame from Advance, NC who is home schooled. He has a solid build with some present lower-half strength. He is a 8.39 runner in the sixty. On the mound, he works from an over-the-top slot with a simple, repeatable delivery and good direction to the plate. He fills the zone with a high percentage of strikes, showing confidence in his breaking ball and ability to land it in all counts. The curveball has a 11/5 shape with depth and consistent spin, keeping hitters off balance and producing steady ground ball contact. He showed feel for a changeup as a third pitch to his arsenal. He fields his position well and maintains poise on the mound, working with good tempo. At first base, he has sound fundamentals with a clean glove, accurate arm, and good understanding of the position. He makes the routine plays and shows a feel for handling throws from across the diamond. In the box, he is a right-handed hitter with a medium stance and a short, direct path to the ball. He keeps the barrel on plane, making consistent contact to all fields with a line drive approach. He shows some bat control and the ability to put the ball in play consistently. With continued development and strength gains, he has the tools to improve in both sides of his game.
