Preston Berg is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-1 152 lb. frame from Tempe, AZ who attends Corona Del Sol. Features a lanky build with plenty of room to add more. Primary right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into tall and fall mechanics. Shows good intent down the mound. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a short arm action. Fastball sat 82-85 mph topping out at 87 mph. Life through the zone allows the offering to work well when elevated. Curveball at 66-69 mph with slurve action can get hitters out front often. Can create tilt when spun well. Maintains arm speed well on changup at 70-73 mph with slight fading action. Can land the offering for strikes often. Pitch mix should only continue to develop further. Arm strength plays at first base, reaching 82 mph across. Presents glove early with quality footwork into the catchpoint. Still developing consistent accuracy. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a slightly open base and lower hand setup. Swings on a direct path. Developing body control throughout the swing would help improve barrel accuracy. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the West Coast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
