Phoenix Brant is a 2025 OF/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends San Diego International Studies. Features a big, tall, athletic, projectable frame with room to add. Stretch only operation with a two-pitch mix that includes fastball and curveball. Throws out of a high three-quarter slot with long arm action. Athletic actions present on the mound. Fastball has some arm side run and he locates it well. Only threw a few breaking balls that can be good if he consistently stays on top. Limits his potential velocity due to his upright finish. More in the tank. In the outfield, shows aggression and fields out front with nose over the glove. Throws downhill with decent carry and one hop accuracy. At first base he showed clean movement off the bag with athleticism. Clean glove with a big arm that was accurate to both bags. At the plate he has a wide base and a striding load. Really strong at the point of contact when everything is timed up. Has a lofted path and found some barrels with pull side power. Ran a 7.03 sixty-yard dash. Really good student. Named to the 2023 California Prospect Showcase top player list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
