Joseph Dusell is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Elgin, IL who attends St. Edward Central Catholic. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, starts in the middle of the rubber, knee lift up with hip coil at top of delivery, creates some torque with drive coming down the mound; medium length arm action working to a lower three-quarters slot. Works on line towards the plate and works over front side well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, explodes out of hand with running life to the arm side, plays well at the top of the zone; showed both a four- and two-seam heater. Curveball shows 1-7 shape with two-plane action up to 77 mph while slider topped out at 80 mph wiht more sweeping life; nice difference between the two. Changeup flashes fading life to it, nice velo difference off of fastball. Field the ball out front in the outfield, extra step into release, low flight on throws with plenty of arm strength and carry out of the hand, one hop accuracy to the intended bag. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box, shows a feel for the barrel through the zone with impact strength at the point of contact. Worked the middle of field, can implement additional lift in swing path; nice two-way potential moving forward. Named to the Midwest Indoor Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
