Joseph Dusell is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Elgin, IL who attends St. Edward Central Catholic. Big and strong athletic build. Has a medium length arm action on the mound with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper 80's and topped out at 90 mph. Tight and short slider was his best pitch, was consistent with its quality and he had a feel for throwing it where he wanted to. Killed the spin well on a firm change up. Good athlete who may end up as a better position player after college. 6.64 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, moves smoothly to the ball, longer arm action with on line accuracy. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a late barrel tip tirgger, has present bat speed and gets extended well, big power to the pull side when he gets the ball in the air, 110 mph exit velo in batting practice, 108 mph exit velo game home run. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
