Griffin Templeton is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Cookeville, TN who attends Cookeville. Wiry athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium open stance with a low leg raise close, well connected swing with good lower half use, line drive swing plane, projects well as a hitter. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, sets up well and moves to the ball athletically, clean funnel out front, charged the ball well with quick transfers, quick and loose arm that has some present carry and projects well. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot, moves down the mound well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some carry up in the zone. Slider was a good pitch with some tightness and two-plane break. Solid overall athlete with some skills who will keep improving. Good student.
