Brigs Sparkman is a 2028 C/RHP/IF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Monticello, FL who attends North Florida Christian. Primary catcher with a compact frame. Recorded a 2.08 pop time from behind the dish and showed good actions. Has a quick transfer and release with shorter arm action. Stays direct and gains some ground through the plate. Was pretty accurate around the bag. Good hands for receiving. Also played infield taking a good first step to the ball. Has range to both sides with a clean funnel to belt. Clean arm action and gets it out easy. Showed good actions all around. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Short and compact arm action through gets out front a bit. Repeatable delivery with sound mechanics. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Showed good hand speed in the box and could impact liners the other way. Contact oriented approach. Excellent Student.
