Daniel Hoctor is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-1, 170 lb. frame from Chesterfield, VA who attends Steward High School. He's a tall, lean, projectable athlete with true two-way ability and strong overall baseball feel. On the mound, he works from a controlled stretch delivery with a high three-quarter slot. The fastball shows heavy arm-side run, especially on the two-seam, making it tough on hitters. His slider has quality 11/5 shape and is his most consistent secondary pitch, showing the ability to land it for strikes. He competes well and projects to keep improving as he adds strength. Defensively, his arm is a real strength. In the outfield, he moves well, creates momentum into his throws, and shows carry and accuracy. In the infield, he shows versatility, solid footwork, and the ability to adjust arm angles. He has the tools to impact the game at multiple positions. At the plate, he's a right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance with good barrel feel. He shows present bat speed and the ability to drive line drives gap-to-gap, especially back up the middle. There is clear upside in the bat. Great student. Named to the 2026 PG Virginia Showcase Top Prospect List.
