Matthew Chirumbolo is a 2025 RHP/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Harwinton, CT who attends Lewis S. Mills. Compact, square-shouldered frame with a high waist and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.45 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed hitter that worked from a full windup delivery with a belt high leg lift, good rhythm and tempo down the slope. Incorporates drop-and-drive lower mechanics and gets some length out of his frame. Proficient strike thrower that sequences well with his two-pitch mix. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 80 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Showed ability to land 11-5 shaped breaking ball with a loose spin profile for strikes and manipulated the horizontal tilt to it for swings-and-misses. Will continue to improve with additional velocity, shows good feel for arsenal and has upside remaining. Secondary infielder with some athleticism to his actions throughout the process. Works downhill through the baseball, shows a clean funnel out in-front and works into a higher arm slot to throw. Recorded developing arm strength up to 73 mph across the diamond during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from wider, bent knee stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Contact oriented stroke with slightly elongated swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Mostly middle-of-the field contact with occasional line drive to the pullside of the field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
