2024 Northwest Indoor Showcase
Owen Montgomery is a 2024 OF/UT with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Mountainside. Features a longer, lean, projectable frame with room to add. Good mover in the outfield and does a nice job working through the ball while fielding out front. Quick glove to hand action before the throw that showed a loose, live arm and stayed on a line. Medium base at the plate with a slightly open stance and high hands. Leg kick load into the swing with good bat speed while staying compact and taking a direct path. Consistently on the barrel showing control of the barrel and the ability to use the whole field. Ball was jumping off his bat with present gap to gap power and over the fence potential. Ran a 4.73 forty-yard dash. Really good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
