Drew Ward is a 2026 3B/SS/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Pasadena, CA who attends La Salle. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present physicality proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, actions play well at the hot corner, brings athleticism to the dirt and shows some lateral range once underway, works on top of throws with an extra step into release, works on top of the throws and shows strength across to first base with carry; made a couple solid plays in live action at third base including a sliding play to his left. Tends to play back on the ball in the outfield, fields it out to the side, shows accuracy on throws to the intended base, nice present carry out of the hand with plenty of arm strength. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow start and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a toe tap moving into stride for timing. Best contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field, some strength off of the barrel when squared, can incorporate additional weight shift into swing to unlock even more strength, looks to lift and impact at the point of contact; nice components in swing to build upon. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
