Derek Rivera is a 2026 SS/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Jayuya, PR who attends Colegio Angel David. Solid athletic build with good present strength and more to come. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has a long and whippy arm action with good carry across the diamond, plays with energy and can get out of control at times, has the tools and athleticism to keep improving. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base, has bat speed and some barrel whip, gets the ball in the air to the middle of the field with carry, present bat speed, has nice upside as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. Very good student. Named to the Florida Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
